Payolle is a hamlet in the commune of Campan. It is situated on the edge of a lake on the plateau de Payolle, at an altitude of 1,100 m in the vallée de Payolle, in Haute-Bigorre in the département of Hautes-Pyrénées. This plateau, oriented south-east north-west, gives access to the cols of Beyrède (1,417 m) and Aspin (1,489 m). It is traversed by the forest road of the Hourquette d'Ancizan (1,638 m). These 3 cols open onto the vallée d'Aure. It hosts the ski resort of Payolle-Campan, a family resort on a site certified France ski de fond. There are shops and restaurants. The national snowshoeing day in January is organised near the lake.
